Overview

GHK-Cu is a tripeptide (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) complexed with copper(II), isolated from human plasma by Loren Pickart in 1973.

Mechanism of action

GHK has a strong affinity for copper and spontaneously forms the GHK-Cu complex. In research, it modulates the expression of several thousand genes linked to tissue regeneration, antioxidant defence and anti-inflammation, and stimulates fibroblast proliferation as well as the synthesis of collagen and extracellular matrix components.

Research context

Studied in wound healing and skin research. Clinical trials have in particular addressed improved healing of skin ulcers in diabetic patients.

Quality assurance

  • Purity ≥ 99 % verified by HPLC
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA) available per batch
  • Traceability: unique batch number on every vial

Format & handling

Presentation: lyophilised powder, 100 mg / vial · Reconstitution: bacteriostatic water · Storage: refrigerate the lyophilisate; after reconstitution, keep cold and protected from light.
